Lucy post surgery, it doesn't look that bad... kind of a crazy stitch job, but its finished. She has been in the shower since Saturday because there really isn't another place to put her while she is healing.

She is finally sitting up...

and then she took a little stroll.. hobble.. kinda..

...THEN...
While i was gonna go to the bathroom earlier, my mom goes "Have you checked on Lucy lately." I told her i was going there right then. I went and was calling her as I was walking in there and I heard nothing. The sliding door was opened a little, which was weird. I looked inside and she wasn't there.

I FREAKED. I called my mother and was like LUCY is missing, she freaked too and ran to get the flashlight. I looked everywhere, then finally to under the bed and there she was just laying there chillin'. I get her out and put her back in the shower, close the shower door and i couldn't close the bathroom door because our other cat, cry baby, needs to get to her litter box. I got back to my bed thinking im going to sleep and my mother yells "WE HAVE A PROBLEM!!" I was like great, now what could be the problem? She said she heard hissing and growling under her bed. I go under there with a flashlight again, and there she is.. just laying there. and cry baby flees the opposite direction.
I couldn't put her back in the bathroom because somehow she figured out how to open the door. I didn't know what to do. I pulled out my trundle to sleep there, but it was still too high off the ground. I had to take my mattress off my bed and put it on the floor so she could get up and down if she needed to for the bathroom and food.
Now, she is laying right beside me happy as ever! I'm so blessed to have Lucy. She is so smart and beautiful and cute and sweet and loving can't help but love her. I know she is going to do fine with this healing from the surgery. The question is now, whats going to happen when she is walking and still carrying the right leg- the left leg is where she had the surgery.
Next Tuesday i go back to the vet for him to take the stitches out. He said that if she is still favoring that right leg, he is going to take another x-ray and see what needs to be done to correct it. __Lord, i give her up to you. You have her on the right track to healing. Thank you for all that you have done for her and will do and are still doing. You've made her such a fighter, for that i thank you. AMEN__
